Con Tìm Mẹ – Full Search Support Process

At Con Tìm Mẹ, we understand that searching for your birth family is a deeply personal and emotional journey — one filled with courage, hope, and the desire for truth.

Our team walks beside you every step of the way with empathy, professionalism, and respect.

We recognize that every story is unique. Each search depends on the available documents and your personal goals. Whatever stage you are at, we will meet you there and work together to explore the full potential of your journey.

To ensure clarity and flexibility, our services are provided in stages. This structure allows you to remain in control of your search — you decide how you wish to proceed and at what pace.

We do not charge fees for our services. However, we request a donation of USD $200 to help cover the essential costs of opening and managing your case, including communication, case coordination, and the time of our dedicated caseworkers and local partners.

Stage 1 – Engagement & Investigation

Donation: USD $200

This stage covers the groundwork for your search, including information gathering, verification, and case assessment.

Our Case Worker will:

  • Receive your request for engagement through the Con Tìm Mẹ Contact Form.

  • Collect your case details, personal background, and relevant documentation.

  • Confirm that you have completed DNA testing (e.g., MyHeritage, Ancestry, 23andMe).

  • Obtain your DNA match information, including GEDmatch number, if available.

  • Create a Case File summarizing your history, DNA results, and search objectives.

  • Review all available information and identify potential leads and challenges.

  • Conduct follow-up meetings to clarify information or gather missing details.

  • Assess relevant authorities, archives, and community contacts that may assist in the investigation.

  • Prepare a summary report outlining findings and next steps.

  • Explain the Stage 2 (Search) process and obtain your approval to proceed.

Stage 2 – Search

Once approved, our Case Worker will:

  • Travel to the relevant area(s) for up to three days (subject to prior agreement).

  • Engage local contacts, community leaders, and authorities to locate potential relatives or records.

  • Arrange meetings and interviews with individuals who may hold useful information.

  • Compile a detailed report summarizing findings, outcomes, and recommendations.

  • Assist you in evaluating results and, if needed, exploring additional steps.

  • With your consent, coordinate public outreach through posters, local media, or community notices.

  • Update your Case File with all progress and outcomes.

Additional Costs

While your USD $200 donation covers the Engagement & Investigation stage, additional costs may apply for:

  • Transport and accommodation for extended or long-distance travel.

  • Employing local people on the ground to assist with inquiries and follow-up visits.

  • Publicity materials, such as posters or community announcements, if required.
