Lani Lang - Searching for 20 Years

My name is Lani Lang and my Vietnamese name is Duong thi Kim Lan. I am reaching out to share my story, as I have been searching for my birth family from Vietnam for over 20 years.

I am unsure of my exact birth name or date of birth. I was found on a street in District 1 of Saigon, Vietnam in the early 1970s and was taken to the Hoi Duc Anh orphanage (which is now a school for the Blind.) I was later transferred to the An Lac orphanage before being part of Operation Babylift.

Many of us were airlifted to the United States and I arrived in Michigan, April 15, 1975. I grew up with my mother and grandmother, but both of my adoptive parents have passed away, and I have no known siblings.

I have submitted my DNA to several organizations and continue to search in hopes of connecting with my Vietnamese family. Thank you very much for your time, support, and any help you may be able to provide.
