Yesterday was truly special meeting Guillaume, a French adoptee and his wife, Virginie.
I’m so happy to share that Con Tim Mẹ has another positive DNA match — a life-changing connection made possible through the generosity of donated MyHeritage DNA kits.
My heart is with Guillaume and his mother as they begin this extraordinary journey of getting to know each other. After so much separation and longing, this reunion carries hope, healing, and the promise of belonging. I wish them both nothing but love, patience, and gentleness as they take these first precious steps together.

Below is Guillaume’s story, written by him — a story of loss, love, and the enduring bond between a mother and her child.
“April 1974
While my mother is pregnant with me, my father goes to war and loses his life. My mother gave birth to me but suffers from severe hemorrhage and believes she’ll die. She entrusts me to the Sisters of Providence in Soc Trang so I can survive. After healing she returns to see the sisters but the little one flew to an unknown country. My mom, sad for a reason. Her son is Safe. She lives in the hope of seeing her only son again. 51 years later, the miracle happens. We're going to get to create the much needed mother/son bond.”
